Privacy policy

Our privacy policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data. You can review it at any time using the link provided above.

Comments

When you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the form together with your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. Gravatar's privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture becomes visible to the public alongside your comment.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may opt to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies last for one year.

When you visit the login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we set up cookies to remember your login information and display preferences. Login cookies last for two days and screen option cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember me”, your login persists for two weeks. Logging out removes the login cookies.

When you edit or publish content, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. It contains no personal data and simply indicates the ID of the post you edited. It expires after one day.

Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third‑party tracking and monitor your interaction with that embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
